Peeps, S'meeps and "Fancy"

My son Justin and I like to make little treats for his classroom every holiday.  A few days before, I browse the web for ideas and find something cute that he can manage to put together with not much assistance.  I found tons of adorable Easter items...most containing the Easter staple...Peeps.  Then I stumbled on Peep S'mores or S'meeps.  How have I never heard of them?  They were all over the blog world.  People made them in jars (I'll talk about them in my next post), cute individual packages, and even for other holidays!  So my mind was made up, we Justin was making S'meeps!
I put the simple supplies on my grocery list:
Peeps
Graham crackers
Hershey bars (single size)
I grabbed the Peeps and the crackers and now is where the "fancy" comes in.  The single size chocolate bars just weren't doing it for me.  The brown wrapper was throwing off my Easter theme.  I decided that I was going to have to buy a few bags of miniatures and sift out the Hershey bars.  I could have grabbed some generic type plain Easter wrapped chocolates but I knew that a good s'more really needed Hershey's.  Not being a S'mores lover myself, I found this awfully considerate of me :)  I had my first bag of miniatures in my hand when I spotted them, Miniature Hershey's Easter bunnies!!  I had never noticed them before!  This made my day...now our S'mepes would be "fancy".
A few days later, Justin and I packed and put together his S'meep kits.  The kits themselves were not so "fancy".  I just used items I already had on hand: Wilton candy bags, some ribbon, and printed some little labels and slapped 'em on the back.  I only had the revelation that I should post some pictures when he was on his way out the door to school with them.  So, I am adding one pathetic picture from my phone.  I warned you in the beginning...my blogging will be a work in progress.

**Note to self: If I want to be successful at blogging, I better keep my camera handy and remember to use it!!**
